All-inclusive Hotel Package - Standard Price: USD $1,200

4 nights hotel stay, one of which is a 5* resort embedded on the banks of the Dead Sea, the others being high end hotels located a short bus journey from start locations and situated close to the entrance of Petra . This package includes airport meet and greet, pick-up & drop-off for you and your mountain bike, bedroom, breakfast, lunch and dinner...and access to all the resort / hotel facilities.  Full list of entry fee inclusions here.

The following services are included in your entry fee;

  • Race Entry to the 4-day Stage Race.
  • Airport Meet and Greet on arrival.
  • Airport Pick-Up / Drop-Off on arrival and departure.
  • Hotel Accommodation (Hotel Package) for 4 nights (12th, 13th, 14th, 15th February). Rooms are double occupancy in each hotel. Access to all hotel leisure facilities.
  • Meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Amenities at the Race Village including hotel leisure facilities.
  • Timing and giveaways.
  • Awards at the Evening Race Briefing.
  • Check Points on routes to track all riders.
  • Route Marshals to ensure all riders are on the right course and are not experiencing any on course difficulties.
  • Sweeper Team (Camels) ensuring everyone gets home safe. They can provide emergency on course mechanical assistance to get you to the finish.
  • Feed Stations providing on course nutrition and liquids.
  • Transport of participants and bikes to remote start locations.
  • Transport of baggage between host towns.
  • Medical Support by on-site ambulance services.
  • Police Support for road closures and traffic management.
  • Mechanical Services provided at each race village. Additional costs may be charged depending on the level of service required.
  • Daily Stage Results presented at the Evening Race Briefing.
  • Bike Wash Area at the Race Village.
  • Secure Bike Storage at each Race Village.
  • Arabian Epic Finish Line Bag.
  • Arabian Epic Finishers T-shirt (for official finishers only).
  • Arabian Epic Finishers Medal (for official finishers only).
  • Photography Service (photographs can be purchased after the event).

The following services are not included in your entry fee;

  • All Tourism Site entrance fees for locations such as Mount Nebo, Batism Site and Petra.
  • Masseuse Services can be booked and paid for separately.

ENTRY CATEGORIES

The Arabian Epic (UAE) has 4 different categories for this year's edition:

  1. Open Male (18 - 39).
  2. Open Female (18 - 39).
  3. Masters Male (40+).
  4. Masters Female (40+).


*The minimum age to compete is set at 18 years old on or before the first day of the race.

Participation Requirements

MEDICALLY FIT

The 4-day stage race is a challenging endurance event open to elite and amateur cyclists of all disciplines. The routes feature various distances, terrain and includes a lot of climbing. It is the responsibility of the participant to arrive with a necessary level of fitness and stamina to compete.


All entrants will sign a waiver upon registration.


ELIGIBLE AGE

The minimum age to compete is set at 18 years old on or before the first day of the race.


MINIMUM MANDATORY GEAR

This list contains the absolute minimum requirements in order to stay safe in this environment and must be suitable to you. They must be carried on each stage of the race.

  • A Helmet
  • Windproof jacket
  • GPS Navigation Device - GPX files to be loaded onto device for bike check on race morning.
  • Tool Kit - Must contain two spare tubes (if using tubeless ensure sealant is refreshed and carry at least 1 tube as an emergency  back-up), a bike pump, a multi-tool, tyre lever, patch kit and a chain  breaker (that you know how to use). A speed link/spare chain link is  also useful 
  • First Aid Kit - Including bandages, plasters, tape, gauze, whistle and a survival  blanket. We also recommend carrying pain relief medication (e.g.  Panadol) for headaches, sunscreen and electrolyte replacement powder, along with other medications you might need (e.g. prescription or hay fever medication)
  • Water - do not underestimate the danger of dehydration in this climate
